Golden Anniversary Invitation Kits – Ideas and Tips

This past summer my family and I celebrated our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary.  When searching for the perfect invitation, we found the large selection, price, and versatility of invitation kits to be our top reasons for choosing a Golden Anniversary Invitation kit. Selecting a Golden Anniversary Invitation Kit

Invitation kits are available through online retailers as well as office supply and specialty stores. There are many designs from which to choose including casual, classic and elegant, fancy, or romantic. There are also a wide variety of colors from which to choose including white, ivory, sage green, and black. You will also find kits that include superior quality 80lb paper, lined envelopes, and foil edging.

What is the Price of an Invitation Kit?

When my sister and I began our search for invitations, we researched having the invitations printed. After looking online and at several invitation books at a local store, we found this would take too long and be too expensive. We had a goal of mailing the invitations in 4 weeks, but found most printed invitations would take more than that, usually 4 to six weeks to complete the order. That is when we considered looking at Invitation Kits.

What we found was wonderful. The cost of the kits was a delight. Here the entire kit cost between $20-$50 and included 50 invitations with corresponding envelopes, matching response cards with envelopes and invitation embellishments, in our case a sheer ribbon to be attached to the top of the invitation.

Versatility

Versatility is another reason to consider this option when choosing Golden Anniversary Invitations. Using an invitation kit allows you and your family to choose the design, font, and wording of the invitation. Often times located within the kit are suggestions for invitation wordings. You may also find success searching on the internet for invitation wording suggestions.

Additionally, the matching cards provided in the kits can be used in a variety of ways. These cards can be used as response cards, reception cards, or thank you note cards. With the kit we selected, we sent some of the note cards to family and friends asking them to write their favorite memory of our parents. The returned memory cards were then assembled into an album and presented it to our parents as a gift. These cards provided a memorable and unique gift!

We were thrilled with selecting and using an Invitation Kit for our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration. The invitations, response cards, and memory cards that enabled a surprise gift to our parents for under $50! Amazing!
